REFOTDE is advancing methodological innovation through the integration of digital health platforms, advanced diagnostics, geospatial analysis, biostatistical and mathematical modelling, and implementation science. These approaches enhance real-time data use, adaptive learning, and faster translation of evidence into policy and practice, particularly within fragile and resource-constrained health systems.

Recognizing that ethical science is inseparable from social legitimacy, REFOTDE continues to strengthen community-centred and stakeholder-driven research models. Through structured engagement frameworks, we promote trust, informed participation, ethical compliance, and community ownership, ensuring that research processes and outcomes are meaningful, respectful, and sustainable.

REFOTDE is scaling its Phase I–III clinical research portfolio, with ongoing and upcoming trials targeting Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), co-endemic infections, and environmentally mediated health risks. Our trials are conducted in alignment with international ethical, regulatory, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, with strong emphasis on participant safety, data integrity, and local research capacity strengthening.
